current projects

i decided mobile blog posting is easy enough to do it!
so here are some lists!

CURRENTLY WORKING ON:

• an emerald green wool capelet, i'm calling it Villanesse because it's meant to have a high, stiff collar (we'll see how that turns out.) i am documenting the pattern as i make it so i can release it later. it's kind of a blank slate style pattern, in that other than the most basic design elements it's all stockinette and could easily be customized with texture patterns or color work\
• a lolita-themed Minecraft texture pack! Minecraft is a sweet world-creation type computer game and one of its features is that computery people can modify the game to great extents if desired. a lot of people will design custom skins to change the look of the game so i decided to make a sweet, girly texture pack based on Japanese Lolita fashion.
• this sort of counts as a project, i guess. been painting minis for my DnD character. i play a druid who summons animals AND turns into an animal so i have a lot of them! painting minis is a very fun, relaxing, non-serious thing for me, like a grown-up coloring book. not done with the druid herself yet.

NEAR FUTURE PROJECTS:

• last night i was going through my yarn stash and devised an idea to bust through a ton of yarn, especially the lots of small balls of similar colors that i have. going to do a hogwarts/ravenclaw blanket in an exciting/frustrating (hah) style that uses lots of colors... it should look like a painting, i hope not yarn vomit anyway. sketched out the basic design. if i knit yhe whole thing as one piece, i'd probably be using over 30 colors at a time. wrestling with that many balls is not enticing so i'm thinking of breaking it into squares like a quilt, to crochet together at the end. will do some test runs to decide if it looks ok enough to be worth the fragmentation.
• i have been feeling the need to do some drawing or painting and had this idea back in April for the Rapture scare. Want to do a painting of a Holy Raptor running around scooping up people...during the Rapture scare i came up with the joke loke, what if people misimterpreted rapture for raptor... anyway the painting will have the inscription "Taken up by the Holy Raptor" to help people get it. idk i think it's funny and hope to have it done by October so it's relevent for the next rapture scare date...

PROJECTS ON PAUSE:

• ok so this should be in current projects but i guess i'm a bit stuck. Cuyler & I are working on an android game about dinosaurs and i'm supposed to be doing the graphics. i want it to be really good and have been a bit indecisive about the style and stuff. i know i need to just DO SOMETHING and it'll come out easier. been thinking a lot and not doing enough. :P

PAST PROJECTS:
well let's see.. everything that has to do with a wedding i suppose.

• my invitations
• my dress (specifically skirt, bodice, petticoat, veil)
• my mask! we had a masquerade themed reception and made masks out of leather. i found out i freaking love working with leather.
